Bruce brings a diverse background encompassing technical, senior executive and board roles. His technical education led him to a three and a half decade career in the oil and gas industry from geophysics through executive roles, leadership of multi-billion dollar business units, significant acquisition & divestiture implementations and board participation with public and industry consortium companies as well as NGOs.
Bruce subsequently engaged the Canadian technology and innovation community, promoting and celebrating innovation across Canada through the Ernest C Manning Awards Foundation as Executive Director and as Awards Coordinator for eight years.
Bruce has a B.Sc. and M.Sc. in physics, gained an RCAF reserve commission (ret.) in telecommunications in an earlier/ancient era!, has attended executive programs at Queen’s U and UWO Ivey School of Business and was awarded an Honorary Bachelor of Small Business and Entrepreneurship from Mount Royal College.
